Wedding Day Design Series

Welcome
I am sorry it has been a while since i have posted, but life has been busy, in fact i have been very busy designing. In the last 3 months, i have released 4 new designs and i have 3 designs in the testing phase, that is a total of 7 designs in just a few months. This is not to mention the designs i have planned.

Out of these 7 designs, 4 designs are for my Wedding series called, Wedding Day.

Maid of Honour

A Brides Best Friend
This shawl has been designed for that special woman you want to share your wedding day with, your Maid of Honour. She is the one you have picked to witness your marriage to the love of your life. She is your best friend and sister, although you may not be related, your friendship is so deep you have a special bond like sisters do.
In May i released Maid of Honour, the first pattern in my wedding design series.

This had been designed for my best friend a couple of years ago. I returned to this design in April and adjusted the border design slightly.

This semi lacy shawl feels so elegant and can also be worn as a scarf, with the peak worn to the front of the body.

For the Maid of Honour shawl pictured below, i use Wolltraum My Melody 4ply in Wild Horses and a 4mm hook. This yarn is a 4ply/Sock/#1 weight, but the shawl can be made in 8ply/Dk/#3 weight of 10ply/Aran/#4 weight, if you prefer a winter shawl.

The pattern is Available to purchase on Ravelry for $5 (Until June 30th 2017 this pattern is available for a discount price of $2)

Mother of the Bride

Mum
Today I am a bride, tomorrow I am a wife, but forever I will be your little girl. Thank you for being the best mother any daughter could ask for. You have shown me strength when you yourself were tired and weak, you showed me courage although you may have doubted yourself, you showed me how beautiful I am, although you may not believe you are beautiful too, but most of all thank you for your unconditional love. I love you, From your little girl

Mother of the Bride is the second design in my wedding series. This wrap has been designed to symbolise the strength and beauty of a mother.
The lacy shell design is so soft and elegant that it truly speaks the beauty and strength a mother has for her child.
The magic of this design happens when you block your wrap. I personally wet block my natural fiber items.
For this wrap i used Bendigo Woollen Mills Milky Way, this was a limited edition yarn i purchased almost 18mths ago. This yarn is rated as 8ply/Dk/#3 weight, but you can use any weight yarn to make this gorgeous wrap.
Mother of the Bride can be purchased on Ravelry for $5

Flower Girl

Flower Girl is the third pattern in the Wedding design series. This design is elegant and dainty, just what is needed for a little girl with an important job on the wedding day.

This Shoulder wrap has been designed using Lionbrand Heartland in Denali, a 10ply/Aran/#4 weight yarn, but this pattern can be made in any weight by adjusting the starting chain.

The best part about this design is that it does not have to be just for the Flower Girl, this shoulder wrap can also be converted to be worn as a cowl (basically a scarf joined to form a circle). It can be made to any size, so if you rather a shoulder wrap for your bridesmaids, then this would be an beautiful accessory.

Flower Girl can be purchased on Ravelry for $3

Bride

This is the day you have been counting down to, the day you get to marry your soul mate. The nerves are high as you prepare to walk down the aisle, nervous because you are so happy this day has arrived. You cry happy tears as you say your vows because you know this man is going to take care of you and be an amazing husband.

Last but not least in the wedding series is the Bride shawl.

This shawl is so soft, lacy and elegant. The pattern for this shawl is based on the Maid of Honour border.

The bride shawl pictured below i am using Wolltraum My Melody 4ply in Santa Song ( a limited edition). This yarn is a 4ply/Sock/#1 weight yarn, but the shawl can be made in any weight yarn.

Bride can be Purchased on Ravelry for $5

I hope you like all the designs in my Wedding series. A lot of love, time and effort have gone into these designs and i am super proud of them.

If you like all 4 designs, you can grab a copy of the E-Book on Ravelry for just $10, that is a saving of $8 if you purchased each pattern separate.

Thank you for stopping by
