Maid Of Honour Pattern Release and CAL

Image
This week i released the first pattern for my wedding series, Maid of Honour.  The combination of a semi lace body with a lacy shell border really makes this pattern delicate but classy. Although designed with 4ply/fingering/#1 weight yarn, this pattern can easily be made with 8ply/dk/#3 weight yarn or 10ply/aran/#4 weight yarn. There are instructions within the pattern to alter the size if you don't wish to have an enormous shawl. Using 4ply/fingering/#1 weight yarn the shawl measures, 66 Inches (168cm) x 32 Inches (81cm) once blocked. The sample above has been made with Wolltraum My Melody in Wild Horses, 200g/760m (purchased from Blayney Sew and More  here in Australia) This pattern has been fully tested by some wonderful ladies.  Kirsty of Mumma AKA Caron Cakes - Strawberry Trifle Ledy Moda Vera Faith You can purchase the pattern on  Ravelry  for just $2 until June 30th 2017, then it will return to the regular price of $

I have some exciting news to share with you all!! I am getting Married next year 😁 I have been engaged to my amazing partner for 4 years and finally, after a couple of years have made a date for our wedding. We are hoping to have a relaxed wedding, something small and cosy. We are hoping April next year, so fingers crossed we can get everything booked soon so we have a date set in stone. Almost 2 years ago i designed the Ocean of Love wrap for me to wear for my wedding. I absolutely love this wrap. It can be worn so many different ways. It is a great pattern to work up for gifts too. Then i designed a shawl for my best friend to ask her to be my Maid of Honour. I never wrote down the pattern, because back then i did not feel it worthy enough to publish. I made the shawl in Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable - Dragonfly. I used 3 skeins to make a shawl big enough for my best friend to wrap herself up in. Now that we have decided on a time frame that we want to get marr

Eves Secret Garden Roundup

Wow! Thank you everyone that participated in Eves Secret Garden CAL . I did not expect the excitement over this crochet along, and i am so appreciative of all of your kind comments about how the pattern is written. This pattern was created by a simple idea, combining Eves journey with my favourite book as a child, The Secret Garden. Originally it was going to be one whole blanket, with different stitches as the blanket grew, but then i got the idea i wanted to include my Aunties and mum in the design ( i do apologise for not including my uncle, but this was more for the woman in my life and how they influenced me) The design consists of Eve (my late grandmother), Pam (my Auntie that can crochet), Lynda (my mum) and Janelle (my other aunty). The pattern can be made in aran/#4/10ply or dk/#3/8ply, but your more than welcome to make it in fingering/#2/4ply if you like. There are 4 sizes you can make, consisting of the following squares: Small square - 1 x Eve, 4 x Pam, 4 x
